Hi Jordan — still in working progress — I need to stop him from backing up but only lift the rear leg. Any advice?
You need to start with him much much closer to the target. I would also recommend sitting on the ground with him. This way you can set him up and isolate which paw you are wanting him to lift rather than let him choose. Also, you want him to be more sideways to the stool so that you are isolating that one rear foot too. This position will also help you focus on duration in the beginning too.
Awesome! That’s our next practice ;
🙂 thank you for the suggestions.
