I would love to see a video of what Linda is describing. She states she is tuck behind the wing, but what direction is she facing?

DianeKrumme

OK, I tried this tucked in behind the wing, but discovered we have a hole in our training. I have never lead out 2 jumps, so when I approached jump two and tucked behind the wing, my dog kept breaking his stay. We will go back and work on our stays.

Thanks, your courses help me tremendously.

Hi @Daisy Peel, here is our video for unit 2:

I tried to stand tucked behind the wing and use a lower hand cue as Linda suggested. I also use this kind of handling when sending Dizzy into my back and blind crossing the jump (instead of a lead-out pivot), so Dizzy is already used to it and didn’t have any problems with this drill.

Thank you.

Sabine

Thank you @Daisy Peel 🙂

Daisy,
Here’s the leadout pivot to a pull. We did this a couple of times so there are two videos. The one time she turned the wrong way out of the tunnel she wanted to go look for her frisbee. 🙂 She loves frisbees. Carla
